Accounts & profiles
Do I need an invitation to join?
Yes. Creating an IHQ member account currently requires a valid invitation. You can still browse public marketplace and creator pages without an account. If invitations are unavailable, you can use the waitlist where offered.
Can I change my profile type after signup?
You choose your primary profile type during signup and cannot change it yourself afterward. If you chose the wrong type, contact IHQ for help.
What is public on my profile?
Content you choose to publish, such as an approved profile, catalog item, or post, may be seen and shared publicly. Drafts, account security details, private messages, and purchase records are not public profile content. Review your visibility choices before publishing.
Music & licensing
Who can submit music?
Artists and producers with eligible accounts can submit music. You decide when a draft is ready to submit. Submitting a track does not guarantee that it will be published or offered for sale.
Does listening or sending an inquiry give me a license?
No. Listening, saving, sharing, or inquiring does not grant usage rights. For an eligible track, choose a license tier, review its terms for your intended project, and accept those terms before completing a purchase or free-license claim. Custom requests follow their separately agreed terms.
How do I compare license tiers?
Open a track's Licensing page and choose what you are making. The displayed tiers, descriptions, permissions, restrictions, and prices respond to that choice. Check the exact terms and credited parties before accepting. A demo license does not allow monetization.
Can I download a track from its public page?
No. You can listen to an available preview, but a purchased file is available only with its license. After your purchase is ready, find the file and terms in My Licenses.
Where do I find music I purchased?
Open My Licenses in your dashboard or Licenses in the Network. You can review your receipt, license terms, and any available download there. If your purchase is still processing, check its status before paying again.
What happens if a purchase is refunded or disputed?
Your receipt and transaction history remain available as records. A full refund or disputed payment may suspend access to the associated licensed file and rights while the matter is resolved. Contact IHQ through the purchase record if the status appears wrong.
Bookings & payments
Who sets a service booking's details?
The provider describes the scope, price model, minimum time, availability, travel or lodging needs, cancellation terms, and other conditions. Review the offering and any agreed changes before confirming or paying. An inquiry alone is not a completed booking.
Who receives a payment?
Your checkout identifies the seller or service provider and shows the total price and any applicable IHQ fee. Review those details before paying.
What if a purchase link opens another site?
IHQ's handoff page shows that you are leaving IHQ. The outside merchant controls its final price, files, license terms, payment, and support. Review those details on the destination before paying.
Integrations, safety & support
Do I have to connect YouTube or Dropbox?
No. These are optional member integrations. Connect only the account and material you intend to use on IHQ. You can disconnect through your integration controls; disconnecting does not delete content from YouTube or Dropbox.
What does Ask IHQ do?
Ask IHQ helps answer questions and guide you through IHQ. It does not replace professional advice or grant music rights. Review important information and any proposed changes before approving them.
How do I report a rights or safety concern?
Use the Copyright and Takedown process for a rights claim, or the contact page for account, payment, or safety help. Include the relevant URL or order reference, but never send a password or full payment-card number.
