Information we handle
When you create an account, we handle your email address, chosen profile name and type, authentication and security records, invitation and consent records, and the profile details you provide. If you publish or interact on IHQ, we handle your submitted music, artwork, descriptions, posts, playlists, favorites, messages, inquiries, booking details, rights information, and moderation reports as applicable to the features you use.
For purchases and bookings, we handle the terms you accept, receipts, order status, delivery details, and information needed to address refunds or disputes. Our payment provider handles card payments and seller payment details. We also collect basic device, browser, and activity information to keep IHQ working and secure.
How we use it
We use information to provide accounts and member features, display what you publish, complete purchases and bookings, send service messages, respond to support and rights concerns, improve IHQ, and meet legal obligations. We also use information to protect members and the service.
What other people can see
Published profiles, music, posts, and other public content can be viewed and shared outside IHQ and may appear in search results. Drafts, private messages, account security information, and purchase records are not shown on your public profile. People involved in a purchase, booking, or inquiry may receive the details needed to complete it.
Removing content from IHQ may not remove copies already shared or indexed elsewhere. We may retain records when needed for purchases, rights concerns, safety, or legal obligations.
Connected services and Ask IHQ
If you connect YouTube, IHQ uses YouTube API Services to access your channel, playlists, videos, and related information for the features you choose. We use that information to show and manage the connected content on IHQ. You can disconnect YouTube in IHQ and revoke access through Google account permissions. The Google Privacy Policy also applies to YouTube data. Disconnecting does not delete your YouTube content.
If you connect Dropbox, IHQ accesses the files and information needed for the imports you choose. Disconnecting stops future access, but files you already imported may remain on IHQ. If you use Ask IHQ, your questions and relevant account information may be shared with our AI provider to respond. Do not enter passwords, card details, or information you are not authorized to share.
Advertising, affiliate links, and cookies
IHQ uses cookies and similar technologies for account access, security, and site performance. Google AdSense and other advertising providers may use these technologies to show and measure ads. We may also measure activity involving IHQ promotions and affiliate links. If you follow a link to another site, its privacy practices apply there.
Retention and security
We keep information as long as needed to provide IHQ and meet accounting, rights, safety, dispute, and legal obligations. Some records may remain for a limited time after you remove an account or item. We use safeguards to protect information, but no online service can promise absolute security.
Your choices and requests
You can edit many account and profile details, choose what to publish, and disconnect optional integrations through your account controls. You may request access, correction, or deletion of eligible information through the IHQ contact page. We may need to verify your request and may retain information where a transaction, rights claim, security need, or legal duty requires it. To revoke YouTube access independently, use Google account permissions. You can also manage Google ad personalization in your Google ad settings.
