These Terms govern your use of instrumentalhq.com. They work alongside the Privacy Notice, the specific license terms you accept for music, and any booking, subscription, or other transaction terms shown before you commit. If specific transaction terms conflict with these general Terms about that transaction, the specific accepted terms control for that transaction.
Access and accounts
Member registration currently requires an invitation. An invitation is intended for its recipient, may expire or be revoked, and does not guarantee a particular role, publication, payment capability, or continued access. Keep your account credentials secure, provide accurate registration information, and tell IHQ promptly if you believe your account has been misused. You are responsible for activity through your account except where applicable law provides otherwise.
Your profile type determines which member features are available to you. Being able to submit content or offer a service does not guarantee publication, bookings, or payment approval.
Your content and rights
You retain ownership of content you submit. By submitting it, you authorize IHQ to store, process, display, transmit, and make it available as needed to operate the visibility, preview, promotion, sale, delivery, and account features you choose. This authorization does not transfer ownership to IHQ. You may change or remove eligible content through available controls, subject to completed transactions and records that must be retained.
Only submit music, artwork, writing, names, and other material you have the right to use. Provide accurate ownership, sample-clearance, contributor, publisher, and split information where requested. IHQ may decline or remove content that does not meet its requirements. Submitting a track does not automatically publish it or make it available for sale. Report rights concerns through the Copyright and Takedown process.
Listening and music licenses
Listening to a preview, saving a track, opening a catalog page, or sending an inquiry does not grant rights to use a recording or composition in your own project. For an eligible paid or free license, the permitted use is defined by the particular tier and terms shown to you and accepted for that track and project. Review restrictions, credits, monetization permissions, file types, and any other conditions before accepting. A demo license does not permit monetization.
For a paid license, you must accept the selected terms and complete payment before the licensed file becomes available. You can review your accepted terms and purchase in My Licenses. Later changes to a seller's listing do not change the terms you already accepted. An inquiry or custom request alone does not grant a license.
Payments, sellers, and delivery
The seller or service provider named at checkout offers the license or service. IHQ may collect a fee where one is shown. Stripe processes payments under its own terms. Review the seller, total price, selected license or service, and any fee before paying.
After a purchase is ready, you can find your licensed music, receipt, and terms in My Licenses. Refunds and disputes follow the applicable transaction terms and payment-provider process. A full refund or disputed payment may suspend access to the related file and license while the matter is resolved. Nothing here removes rights you cannot waive under applicable law.
Bookings and provider offerings
Providers set the scope, availability, price, minimum time, expenses, cancellation conditions, and other terms for their services. Review those details and any agreed changes before paying or confirming. A request or conversation does not guarantee availability or complete a booking. Each provider is responsible for the service they offer.
Platform integrity
Do not impersonate others, make fraudulent rights claims, harass members, upload harmful files, evade permissions or payment controls, access private media without authorization, manipulate activity or reviews, or use IHQ to violate another person's rights. We may restrict content or accounts, investigate reports, preserve relevant records, and take proportionate action to protect the platform and its users.
Ask IHQ can help you understand the service, but it does not replace professional advice or an agreement between people. Check important details before relying on a response or approving a proposed change.
Connected services and external destinations
Optional integrations and external destinations, including YouTube, Dropbox, Stripe, and affiliate merchants, have their own terms and privacy practices. When you use IHQ features powered by YouTube API Services, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. IHQ does not control a purchase you complete on an external merchant site; check its final price, files, and terms there. See the Privacy Notice for information about connected-service data.
Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as the service changes. The date above shows the current version, and material changes may also be communicated through IHQ or by email. Changes do not retroactively replace the specific license terms already accepted for a completed purchase.
